nothing yet…
Well, heading into my first weekend I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little disappointed…not one pound, yet!! My whole body is aching from working out, I miss my Twix bars and I’m dreading a weekend without a million holiday things to keep me busy (and distracted from snacking!!)…I realize that patience is not my strongest virtue, but is ONE pound too much to ask?? (Dawnie…Congrats on yours!) OK, enough whining…hope everyone has a great weekend! Stay strong!

Have no fear. Those pounds will eventually come off! And if you are noticing that they aren’t, you might try modifying what you eat. Play around with your foods and see if you have better weight-loss foods.
Good luck and hang in there!

I understand your dissapointment. I have yet to weigh myself because I fear the same thing will happen to me. However, if your body is aching then you are building muscle. It’ll come off. As long as you truly are doing what needs to be done then you have nothing to worry about it.
I have to weigh myself on Tuesday
scary stuff. Anyways, I may be needing a shoulder to cry on too. Take care and keep up the workouts.
Muscle ache=Good Job!!!
Dawn,
Don’t be discouraged! I just went through a time period like that too a few weeks ago…..I had ate well and been active but the scale seemed to be stuck with super glue to a number! Then one day I weighed and it claimed I had lost 6lbs….I quickly looked at my fingers to see if I could tell the slimming effects of me losing 6lbs but to no avail! Isn’t that where we seem to lose weight…in our fingers cause I don’t see it anywhere else! LOL I thought it had to be a mistake but to my surprise it stayed at that number! So don’t give up I think our scales just hate losing all the time! They like to trick us into working harder and pushing ourselves more….the little rascals! Stay focused Dawn the week ahead will be better. Let me know how it goes! Do you have any projects around your house that you always said you were going to do when you had time? Anything crafty? Get one of those out if you do to take the place of the Holiday activities. Maybe organizing Holiday photos. Accomplishing something, anything, will be a great boost for you!
Hang in there!

Give it some time and you will see a loss. If you are working out you are building muscle. When you first start an excercise program your body will start retaining water as well, that’s why it sooo important to drink your water everyday, that way your body knows it’s coming and won’t need to retain it.
Back to the the muscle gain, if you lost 3lbs of fat but built up 3lbs of muscle you won’t see a difference on the scale, you will however be able to see it in inches. Take your measurements on the days you weigh in. Good luck!
Dawn,
Remember the journey is long!! One week does not a diet make.. Sometimes our body takes time to adjust to changes we make.. Give it a couple of weeks.. You could be gaining muscle from exercise and that’s a good thing! Don’t let it get you down.. Blame TOM if you have to!! I did!
Hugs,
Scott
